Just Like Being In London!
With the parakeets screeching past my hotel window its just like being in the suburbs of London! Well, not quite, as you can see, and outside it is about 30 degrees, rather than the white blanket that I believe descended on the South East of England overnight! Yes, I’m back in Mumbai for a very quick visit and then its off on the overnight Jet Airways Airbus back to London tomorrow… aargh…….

Just Like His Dad!

A Sight to Savour!
The year is gently drawing to a close and as it does nature is rewarding us with a stunning display of colour.
Whether it is the beautiful and ethereal sight of the morning mist hanging over the dew-soaked fields, or the variety of colours that the trees give us as they shed their coats for yet another year, the effect is absolutely stunning.
Sun, Sea and Ensaimada!
Back from a few days on the beautiful island of Mallorca.
September, like early Summer, is a great time to be there. The weather was perfect - not to hot but sunny and bright.
On the left here is one of the trams that weave through the streets every few minutes on their way from the railway station in Soller to the Port. This, and the antique electric railway that brings locals and tourists to and from Palma, add to the attraction of this beautiful town.
Soller, is nestled in the Vall de Soller, the orange valley, where citrus groves fill every available plot of land and make it a very charming and unique place.

Dry Ship to Dubai
I arrived yesterday in the simmering city of Dubai which on arrival at eight o’clock in the evening was sweltering at 38 degrees. On the way the weather was beautiful and clear, offering fantastic views across the dry arid region of Iraq and Iran.
As the sun gradually sunk on the horizon we flew across eastern Iraq. Of course at this time it is the end of Ramadan and so…….. no beers!
Here, I think, you can see the city of Kirkuk. I’m open to correction! We flew over a number of cities in the area, which you could see incredibly clearly.
As we approached Dubai the setting sun enriched the colours of the Royal Brunei Boeing 777, bit by bit sucking the energy of light and colour as we sank in to darkness for another day.
More added!
Finally found time to upload a small selection from the French trip, including the La Ferte Alais air show. Go to the Gallery and select “France” here
Catching Up
After going to Farnborough Air Show last week – in the rain – and having been away this week, I have even more images to process! Some are now live on the Gallery (see the tab above). I also managed to get a few of my Gorilla shots uploaded.
